Bòrd na Gàidhlig and partners developed resources to help Gaelic speakers and learners to be more visible to one another and to promote the use of Gaelic in public spaces.
We want to encourage Gaelic speakers to come together and speak Gaelic to each other at events and in daily life. The Cleachdi resources exist to help us achieve this.
Order Cleachdi Resources
The Cleachdi resources, which are all available for free, are there to let Gaelic speakers show people they are willing to speak Gaelic. You can order up to 10 lanyards, badges and A5 posters, up to 20 stickers and up to 5 window stickers by filling in this form.
For larger orders, or if you have any questions, please contact us on 01463 225454 or at fios@gaidhlig.scot.
Online Resources
We have also created digital Cleachdi resources to improve the visibility of Gaelic in online spaces. They can be downloaded here;
Anyone is welcome to use the Cleachdi logo! We kindly ask that when doing so that you follow the brand guidelines here.
Learn Gaelic
If you want to learn Gaelic, check out the LearnGaelic website and the SpeakGaelic website for online resources, a list of classes available all over Scotland and other learning resources.
Advertising Events
Bòrd na Gàidhlig used to operate a separate Cleachdi website where Gaelic events could be advertised. While this website is no longer active, we are continuing to advertise events through our own social channels. We are doing this through the Dè tha Dol? (What’s Going On?) campaign, which is published on our Instagram and Facebook pages every Friday afternoon. If you would like to advertise a Gaelic event through this campaign, please tag Bòrd na Gàidhlig in your social media posts about the event or send them to us in a direct message.
